Baldev heads RN Bazar traders’ body

JAMMU, Sept 16: Prominent city businessman Baldev Khullar has been elected as president while Sanjay Sethi as general secretary of Raghunath Bazar Traders Association.
In the elections of the Association held here today under the supervision of Election president Jugal Mahajan, Baldev Khullar was declared as winner for the post of president. He secured 180 votes and defeated his rival H L Abrol, who bagged 105 votes. Mohit Gupta was elected as senior vice president with 181 votes. He defeated Sahil Malhotra, who secured 101 votes. M M Sharma was elected as junior vice president with 169 votes, Sanjay Sethi as general secretary (190 votes), Ashwani Kohli as secretary (196 votes) while Amit Kapoor was elected as cashier un-opposed.
Earlier, AGM of the Association was held in which the outgoing president Surinder Mahajan projected some achievements of the body. He also extended gratitude to the members for their support. The polling started at around 12 noon and was over by 3.30 pm. Total 289 votes were polled and the result was declared at around 6.30 pm.
