SRINAGAR, Oct 4: Vice-Chairperson, J&K Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan, today called upon Social Welfare Minister, Sajjad Gani Lone, here at his official residence and sought his kind intervention for resolving the long pending issues pertaining to the employees of the Corporation.
He also took up the issue of poor and needy unemployed people who wants to avail financial assistance in the form of loan under reserved categories.
While taking up issues with the Minister, Balbir told him that there is an urgent need for constitution of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, as important decisions need approval of the Board for their implementation. He briefed the Minister that there is stagnation in promotions while the benefits of SRO-43 and pension after retirement have not been extended to the employees of the Corporation.
Balbir further told Sajjad Gani Lone that procedure for grant of loans is lengthy and time consuming, which need to be simplified so that the loan aspirants are not made to suffer for long and deserving beneficiaries of the target groups are benefited. He maintained that the maximum issues would be resolved only after the Board is constituted.
The Minister assured the Vice-Chairperson that the genuine issues as brought in to his notice will be looked into sympathetically and that the process for constitution of the Board of Directors will be accelerated so that the issues as observed by the Vice- Chairperson addressed soon.
