JAMMU, Mar 20: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits led by MLC Vijay Bakaya today called on Chief Electoral Officer Umang Narula and apprised him about the need to simplify the procedure for filling up of migrant forms during elections.
Mr Narula assured the delegation that while it was not possible to dispense with M Forms as there were legal issues involved but he would ensure that the purpose of filling up of M Forms is simplified and as far as possible these are filled up by voters at one place.
Mr Bakaya informed the CEO that the migrants want to cast their vote in large numbers and they are seeking political empowerment so it is necessary that their voting is facilitated.
