JAMMU, Apr 16: National Executive Member of GeM Portal, Usha Bajpai, who is on a three -days tour to Jammu trained women activists during a series of Train the Trainer’s workshops on GeM Portal Registration in various parts of Jammu division.
A largely attended meeting of women was held at Lakhanpur of Kathua district.
The meetings were held on the directives of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and national president, BJP Mahila Morcha, Vanathi Srinivasan and organized by Jammu Women’s Credited Cooperative Limited (JWCCL) under the leadership of Sanjita Dogra who is its chairperson.
The main organizer of Lakhanpur’s meeting was chief advisor of Jammu Women Credit Co-Operative Ltd. Kailash Verma.
Speaking on the occasion, Bajpai said that the Central Government is providing hand holding help to women for self employment.
She said that the GeM Portal is one of such initiative and women in large numbers must register on it to get employment avenues on a click.
Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister also addressed the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjita Dogra of JWCCL called on women of Jammu and Kashmir to get benefit of all Central Government run schemes.
Sanjita Dogra maintained that women of Jammu and Kashmir should get the benefit of the schemes of the Central Government, women should set an example by becoming self-reliant, for this, full work will be done.
Earlier, on the first day a series of meetings were held with women of Katra of district Reasi and Purkhoo Camp of Jammu district.
The workshops were organized in Katra , in which the chief guest Usha Bajpai guided the women participants on registration on GeM portals. Later in the evening a similar workshop was organized at Purkhoo Camp of Jammu.
Updesh Andotra, national working members of BJP, MC Katra Chairman, Shashi Gupta, Reasi district president, Ritu Thakur and others remained present on the occasion.
