Bail plea of fraudster rejected

JAMMU, Apr 18: Judicial Magistrate First Class RS Pura rejected the bail application of a fraudster, who duped people on the pretext of providing job to their wards.
According to the case, a complaint was lodged by Narinder Kumar, son of Kasturi Lal, a resident of Ward Number 6 RS Pura and other members of his locality with Police Station RS Pura stating that a person identified as Rakesh Kumar alias IG, son of Om Parkash Sharma, a resident of Ram Nagar Basti Badyal Brahmana duped them under the pretext of giving employment to their wards in lieu of money and relatives by creating an impression of being DySP Operations.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 45/18 under Sections 420, 170, 171, 504 and 506 RPC was registered at RS Pura Police Station and the accused was arrested by police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar.
The accused prayed for grant of bail before the Munsiff Court RS Pura Rekha Kapoor Nischal today.
After the perusal of the CD file before the court, it has been observed that applicant has duped the people and is a habitual criminal and has already involved in 5 criminal cases.
The court has observed that the accused has cheated and fraudulently taken huge money from the complainant and many other people and has threatened the complainant of dire consequences.
Learned Senior PO JMIC RS Pura Koushal Kotwal also argued that the accused would jump over the bail and threaten the prosecution witnesses if he is released on bail and also chances of absconding and fleeing from the source of justice.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, JMIC RS Pura rejected the bail in favour of the accused.
