JAMMU, Sept 21: Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu, Sunit Gupta today rejected the bail application of Anil Kumar and Rajeev Tanwar, who were arrested by the Crime Branch in the much publicized cyber crime case.
After hearing Senior Prosecuting Officers Rajeshwar Basotra and Rohini Manhas for the State along with IO Parvez Sajjad, CJM observed, “the accused persons have duped innocent persons and extracted their hard earned money through fraudulent callers/agents”.
“More so, the investigating agency is still under process to unearth the different angles of the case and they are in search of more incriminating material against the accused persons”, the court said, adding “at this stage the accused persons cannot be admitted on bail as in that event the investigation process is likely to be thwarted and the accused persons will get chance to conceal and eliminate the material evidence against them”.
With these observations, court dismissed the bail application.
