JAMMU, Dec 10: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua, Vinod Chatterji Koul today rejected the bail application of lecturer Shah Nawaz, who was booked by Bani Police in sedition case.
According to the police case, the lecturer Shah Nawaz while teaching history subject to the students of BA Part-III stated that Pakistanis come here as lions, kill the Indians and then go back. He also claimed that there are 150 militants in Kashmir for whom he can give his life.
After hearing both the sides, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “in view of the provision contained in Section 497-B CrPC and the fact that there are grounds for believing that he has committed offence the bail application is rejected”.
