Bail denied in kidnapping, rape case

JAMMU, Jan 8: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita has rejected the bail application of Imtiaz Ahmed, who is facing trial in rape and kidnapping case.
After hearing Public Prosecutor Rashi Baru for the State, the court observed, “allegations against accused person are serious and trial is going on for offences allegedly committed by accused”, adding “rape or attempt to rape is a crime not against an individual but a crime which destroys the basic equilibrium of the social atmosphere. The incident of rape creates an incurable dent in the fabric of the social milieu and society as the whole is compelled to suffer”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
