JAMMU, Oct 13: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu MA Chowdhary today rejected the pre-arrest bail of Roop Lal of Dinga Amb Kathua, who duped people on the name of providing job in Police Department.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed, “applicant has been accused of the commission of cheating and forgery which are punishable with an imprisonment which may extend to life imprisonment”, adding “a person accused of a fraud or cheating is not entitled to be protected by grant of bail in anticipation of his/her arrest”.
With these observations, court rejected the anticipatory bail of the accused.
