Baddi University launches Academic Adoption Programme

SRINAGAR, May 15: Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, Himachal Pradesh, has formally launched its Academic Adoption programme for the students here.
Addressing the press conference, Dr Lovi Raj Gupta, Vice Chancellor Baddi University, said the programme which has been envisioned by former President APJ Abdul Kalam would revolutionize the education system. The programme offers a unique opportunity for students to work along with their studies and brings the new concept of experiential learning, he added.
“As the students enter the University, companies would come and hire them as trainee. The students would also get stipend and would work 4 to 5 days a week and rest they would study,” the VC explained.
“We have special packages for our J&K students and we hope they will be benefited by this Academic Adoption programme designed to benefit the meritorious students,” he added.
This programme would be applicable for B Tech, B Pharma, MBA and MCA students and even the students of B Com and BBA can avail this opportunity.
The VC said that this programme would not only improve students’ employability quotient but will also help to build better engineers, administrators and other professionals. “This unique initiative would also help the students in their final campus placements as they would be more lucrative to companies who would be getting young and experienced professionals,” he said.
Dr Gupta said that Baddi University was committed, to take up ever new challenges especially the challenge of redefining the epistemology and coping up with the philosophy, pedagogy and methodology of education as per need of the hour.
