AMRITSAR, Apr 13: Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley, BJP-SAD alliance candidate from Amritsar, stressed the need of priority driven development of backward areas and committed his resolve for the purpose.
Addressing a public meeting here, Mr Jaitley emphasised for better infrastructure and civic amenities for backward areas to lift up the living standards of the people. Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Gill constituency in-charge and ex-mayor Shwait Malik said people here are fortune enough to have Mr Jaitley as candidate because he will hold an important position in NDA led government under the leadership of Mr Narender Modi and will put the best foot forward to make the city world class.
Commenting on Captain Amarinder Singh they reminded that even during his tenure as Chief Minister he had done nothing for Amritsar and anything should not be expected in future also. (UNI)
