SAMBA, May 22: Deputy Commissioner Samba RK Varma alongwith Director Tourism Soujanya Sharma visited Baba Chamliyal and discussed arrangements for the coming Baba Chamliyal Mela which is going to be held on June 26.
They visited the Baba Chamliyal Shrine in order to check the minimum basic facilities.
They were accompanied by Tehsildar Vijaypur, Executive Engineer PWD R&B, BDO Vijaypur and other officers.
Meanwhile, a meeting to review the performance of various sectors under District Annual Plan/CSS Programmes 2013-14 (ending March 2014) and to discuss the proposals for the year 2014-15, was held here under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Samba, RK Varma here today.
Against the available funds amounting to Rs 3835.18 lakh including Revenue component of Rs 1805.25 lakh under District Plan and Rs 491.50 lakh under BADP, Rs 3759.79 lakh which is 98% (including Rs 1756.93 lakh under Revenue component) and Rs 462.97 lakh respectively was utilized ending March 2014.
During the course of meeting, expenditure of various sectors vis-à-vis physical achievements up to ending March 2014 was reviewed.
Rs 22.98 crore has been expended ending March 2014 under MGNREGA against the availability of Rs 24.42 crore there by generating Rs 6.71 lacs mandays. 1218 works have been completed ending March 2014 against 2618 taken up, Rs 102.03 lakh spent under IAY Programme against the availability of Rs 152.29 lakh for completion of 34 IAY houses against 362 taken up in the District Samba.
Under self employment sector 121 cases was sanctioned and Rs 91.56 lakh was disbursed to 131 including SOS cases as interest subsidy/margin money.
Among others ADDC Samba, CPO Samba, SE Hydraulic Circle Jammu, SE EM&RE Kathua, GM DIC, PO (DRDA), Samba, CAO Samba, CMO Samba, Executive Engineers of PWD(R&B) besides the officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
