B R Kundal resigns as president Dharmarth Trust

JAMMU, Feb 24: B R Kundal, former Chief Secretary of J&K has resigned from the post of president J&K Dharmarth Trust. In a letter written to the Chairman Trustee of the Dharmarth Trust Dr Karan Singh, Kundal has cited joining active politics as the reason of his resignation.
“In view of my having joined a political party, I no longer can work as President of J&K Dharmarth Trust. Therefore, I submit my resignation which may kindly be accepted,” he writes in his resignation letter.
Stating that it was a pleasure and privilege to work with the Trust, Kundal further said that with the support of Chairman, he was able to achieve a lot in improving the functioning of the Trust besides completing various repair works, renovations and face-lifting of various temples constructed by Dogra rulers. “During this period I worked with full sincerity and dedication without looking for except interest of the Trust,” he said and reminded that he also avoided any financial burden on the trust by not drawing any remunerations and using Government facilities wherever available, even while on tours.
