BHADERWAH, Aug 27: Former Minister and MLA Bhaderwah Mohd Sharief Niaz has said that Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad would visit Bhaderwah in September and inaugurate the new building of the Sub-District hospital here.
Addressing party workers including a large number of Sarpanchs and Panchs of the area, Mr Niaz said that Bhaderwah has witnessed massive development in recent years. He said construction of roads, raising of Bhaderwah Development Authority, establishment of University, new district hospital building at Dandi and bus stand near Kotli will go a long way to shape the future of the people of this area.
He disclosed that Union Health Minister has given his consent to inaugurate the new hospital building at Bhaderwah and a Para-medical institute will be opened in the old hospital building of the town shortly. The MLA expressed his resentment over shortage of staff in Municipal Committee Bhaderwah and hospitals in the area. He demanded that vacant posts at BMC and hospitals be filled up without any further delay.
Mr Niaz demanded that Polytechnic be opened at a centrally located place in district Doda instead of Udyanpur village. He also demanded opening of an office of Assistant Director, Tourism in the area.
