Azad condemns militant attack in Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 27:
Condemning the militant attack here that left 10 people including three civilians and as many army men dead, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today said India will not be cowed down by such cowardly acts.
“We strongly condemn the dastardly attacks carried out by terrorists in the border town of Arnia in J&K. We are not going to get cowed down by such cowardly acts and that this will not deter us to combat and defeat the forces professed to the ideology of terrorism and violence,” the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha said.
Azad conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families of the brave martyred jawans as well as the civilians who lost their lives in the attack. He also expressed solidarity with those injured in the attack.
Noting that such ghastly and provocative acts are perpetrated by the forces of terror located across the border with the intent of derailing the peace and harmony in J&K, Azad said people are fully determined to defeat such nefarious designs.
In the terror strike carried out on the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu Division, militants wearing combat uniform today attacked two Army bunkers close to Indo-Pak border leaving 10 people including three civilians and as many army men dead in a fierce gun battle with security forces.
The dead also included four heavily armed militants. (AGENCIES)
