JAMMU, Nov 27:
The nomination papers of 185 candidates have been cleared after scrutiny for phase-four in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
The scrutiny of nomination papers of 195 candidates who filed their papers for fourth phase of Assembly elections was held today in the offices of Returning Officers of their respective constituencies, in which 185 candidates were found eligible, whereas nomination papers of eight candidates were rejected and two have been deferred till tomorrow.
In Hazratbal constituency, papers of 12 candidates, in Zadibal (13), in Eidgah (8), in Khanyar (6), in Habbakadal (11), in Amirakadal (14), in Sonawar (15), in Batamaloo (16), in Wachi (10), in (11), in Anantnag (8), in Dooru (10), in Kokernag (7), in Shangas (9), in Bijbehara (5), in Pahalgam (6), in Samba (10) and in Vijaypur (14) nominations papers have been cleared.
The last day for withdrawal of nomination papers has been fixed on November 29 while polling for phase four will be held on December 14. (AGENCIES)
