BSF rules out infiltration along Jammu IB, says fencing intact

JAMMU, Nov 27:
The Border Security Force, guarding the frontiers between India and Pakistan, today ruled out any infiltration along the international border by the militants, after 10 people including three army men and as many civilians were killed in an encounter between security forces and militants in Jammu’s Arnia sector.
“Here everything is alright. There is nothing wrong with border fencing. Border fencing is totally intact, border lighting is perfectly working and surveillance grid is intact,” IG BSF Jammu Frontier Rakesh Sharma said tonight.
In a major terror attack ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to J&K tomorrow, 10 people including three army personnel and as many civilians and four militants were killed in a fierce gun battle that broke out today between security forces and militants who had sneaked into Arnia border sector along international border in Jammu district.
“There were no tell-tale signs that anybody has sneaked from this side. We have surveyed 20 km along the border in this area, we have seen no such signs,” the IG BSF said. (AGENCIES)
