Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu, Unani Hospital Srinagar upgraded

JAMMU, Oct 29: Government today accorded sanction to the designation of Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu (Associated Hospital of Government Ayurvedic Medical College cum Hospital, Akhnoor) and Government Unani Hospital, Shalteng, Srinagar (Associated Hospital of Government Unani Medical College cum Hospital, Ganderbal) as the 60-bedded hospitals.
Besides, the Government also designated upcoming hospitals located in the premises of Government Ayurvedic Medical College cum Hospital, Akhnoor and Government Unani Medical College cum Hospital, Ganderbal, as 60-bedded associated hospitals of the respective colleges.
“Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu and Government Unani Hospital, Shalteng (Srinagar), shall however, continue to function as the Associated Hospitals of Government Ayurvedic Medical College cum Hospital, Akhnoor (Jammu) and Government Unani Medical College cum Hospital, Ganderbal (Kashmir), respectively, till the hospitals coming up in these two colleges become fully functional/operational,” said an order issued by the Government.
The order stated that the necessary infrastructure and allied equipment, furniture/fixture etc for the purpose shall be provided to these hospitals under NAM/Capex Budget.
