JAMMU, Jan 9: Adding another feather to the State’s cap, two Anganwari workers of Jammu and Kashmir brought laurels to the State by winning National Awards for their exceptional achievement in ICDS Services for the year 2017-18.
Union Minister for Women & Child Development, Maneka Gandhi conferred these awards to Anganwari Workers of ICDS Project Akhnoor of Jammu district and ICDS Project Tangmarg of Baramulla district at Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra Chanakpuri, New Delhi.
The objective of giving these awards is to motivate the AWWs and recognise their exemplary service in the field of child development and related areas under the ICDS Scheme.
The award ceremony was attended by Natasha Kalsotra, DPO ICDS Jammu, Gowher Simnani from Mission Directorate ICDS J&K.
