Awareness prog on insurance for industrial workers held

RAJOURI, Dec 7: An awareness programme on compulsory insurance under Section 4A of Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972-Reg for the Industrial fraternity on the initiative of Labour Commissioner, Vipra Behl was held at Bari Brahmana Industrial Association Bhawan today.
While welcoming members of Industrial fraternity, Kuldeep Bhat and Anjli Tikoo, Administrative officers, Life Insurance Corporation of India (P&GS unit), Jammu highlighted the benefits being provided to the industrial employees under the said scheme and requested the members present to avail the benefit of the scheme. A power point presentation was given by the department indicating various schemes for the industrial units.
Lalit Mahajan, president of BBIA in his address appreciated the steps taken by the Labour department and the LIC of India by organizing first ever such programme for the members of industry in Jammu. He extended his gratitude to Ms Behl, Rakesh Arora (Assistant Commissioner ) and LIC officers.
The programme was also attended by Varun Singla- vice president, Ajay Langar–general secretary and Viraaj Malhotra- treasurer of BBIA besides other prominent industrialists.
