RSPURA, Sept 15: An awareness camp for the villagers from border area of Suchetgarh area was held at Abdullian, Panchayat Chandu Chak today.
Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu Anuradha Gupta, ACD Jammu Showkat Mehmood Malik, District Panchayat Officer, T S Suhrawardy and BDO R S Pura Sanchi Mishra educated the people including Sarpanchs, Panchs of the area about the concept ‘Mera Gaon Mera Jahan’ and need to keep environment clean for good health. They also made mentioned of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of the Prime Minister and appealed the village heads to further create awareness among the people of their respective areas. They also advised the participants to grow moiré and more trees, construct toilets and stop open defecation, dispose off garbage properly and avoid use of polythene bags. The farmers were advised not to make use of excessive chemical fertilizers.
