JAMMU, Dec 11: An auto driver was attacked today with sharp edged weapons by two unknown miscreants in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the auto driver identified as Amarjeet Singh (55) son of Ranjeet Singh, a resident of Gadigarh, was carrying passengers in his auto when on reaching Khawaskaan area of Gadigarh, two unknown miscreants blocked his path and attacked with sharp edged weapons.
In the attack, the auto driver received serious injuries on her hands and legs. The locals immediately shifted the blood-ridden Amarjeet to Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, where in view of his serious condition he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
The condition of the victim was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
A case in this connection has been registered at concerned police station and further investigations are underway.
