Srinagar, Nov 26: The authorities are sitting on the recruitment of the posts of Foresters that were advertised several years back even as the process is witnessing continuous delay since 2018 with no development in sight.
As per details, several notifications were published through which around 200 posts were invited to be filled by the JKSSB, however, later the matter went to court and the recruitment was stayed.
However, in the year 2018, the stay was cleared by the court, but despite that, the recruitment process has not been started so far which has resulted in apprehensions among the aspirants with regard to the overall recruitment process particularly the role of spoiler played by the concerned department.
It is to be noted here that court while considering the age factor of the aspirants and overall time already wasted concerning the recruitment, the stay was vacated, directing the recruitment kick-start the process. However, there has not been any development in this regard so far.
“The aspirants are facing several issues and there has been an undue delay in the process of recruitment, with the result, many candidates have already crossed the age-limit and with no development in sight, there are apprehensions that the concerned department might be resorting to unfair means to fill the posts that have been from time to time referred to JKSSB,” one of the aspirants told Excelsior on the condition of anonymity.
As per the details, the JKSSB has to start the physical test and after which the written test will be conducted, taking the recruitment to next level, however, the recruitment agency has been issuing postponement notifications as sought by the concerned department causing the overall process to witness delay
The aspirants said that the process is being delayed since 2019 even as it was stated that the process will be taken up further from November onwards, but the same has been again delayed.
However, on the other side, Excelsior has learned that the Forest Department has got some issues with regard to the posts that have been referred to the JKSSB for recruitment and that they have sought time for the verification of the said posts due to which the process is witnessing further delay.
Ironically, while failing to carry out the verification process of the posts that the Forest Department referred to JKSSB earlier, the department has now raised several issues, pushing the process on the back seat.
The department, it has been learned, is unsure of the posts referred and has sought to verify the referred post with regard to the availability in the Department as a result, the overall recruitment process with regard to filling up 200 posts of the Foresters is witnessing delay.
