JAMMU, Dec 9: Vigilance Organization today booked Assistant Professor of Government College of Education, Canal Road for demanding and accepting bribe.
An official spokesman said that Vigilance Organization Jammu received a complaint mentioning that Ashu Jolly, Assistant Professor, College of Education, Canal Road has demanded Rs 10,000 in two instalments as illegal gratification from the complainant for approving M.Ed synopsis.
On the receipt of complaint, Vigilance Organization constituted a trap team and Assistant Professor was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5000 from the complainant in the presence of independent witnesses.
A case FIR No.25/2016 has been registered under relevant Sections of law in Police Station, Vigilance Organization Jammu for further investigation.
