Assembly elections in J&K likely soon: Ravinder Raina

Srinagar, July 25: The BJP’s J&K President Ravinder Raina today said that the Assembly elections will be soon held and that the party is hopeful of having its Chief Minister heading J&K.
Speaking to the media persons on the sidelines of a mass joining programme that was held in South Kashmir’s Kulgam, Raina said that the party workers are conducting various meetings across Kashmir.
“In the coming days, we are hopeful that the Assembly elections will be held. People of J&K have reposed faith in BJP in the local bodies elections that were held and we are hopeful that the same will continue in the future as well,” he said.
Raina said that they are hopeful that the BJP will emerge victorious in the Assembly Elections and will have its own Chief Minister in the Union Territory.

On Pakistan, Raina said that they are to disrupt peace in J&K but they have been facing failure. “They are now getting drones from China, but we have a system to take of everything,” he said.
During the joining program, the Block Development Chairperson (BDC) Kulgam Bashir Ahmad Khan and 12 panchayat members on the occasion joined the BJP.
Those who joined the BJP included Sarpanch Javaid Ahmad Hajam (Lirrow), Nuzhat Arsheed ( Shangus), Arif Hussain (Poniwa) Gulshan Banoo ( Asthal) and Ab Salam
Raina, while welcoming them to the party fold, said the people living in remote areas have appreciated the intention and policies of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union Government.
“Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwaas” has been the hallmark of this government and we as the representatives of the BJP have to work together as a family to make sure that our country advances on the path of unity, peace and progress,” he said.
J&K BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Kaul while welcoming the new entrants said: “BJP’s policies and working atmosphere, and public dealings have been widely accepted by the general public.”
He asked party workers to have faith in party leadership in the state for the better functioning of the party.
BJP Vice president Sofi Yousuf, South Kashmir In-charge Vir Saraf and District President Kulgam Abid Hussain were also present on the occasion.
