JAMMU, July 20: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has expressed concern over the posting of displaced female teachers on their promotion in Kashmir Valley.
In a statement issued here, today R K Raina president, ASKPC said that Government has no clear cut policy towards the displaced Pandits from Valley. He said the situation is not conducive for the return of Pandits to Valley and claims of the Government are totally hollow in this regard. He said the Pandits have left the Valley after the flare-up of terrorism leaving their entire property behind after hundreds of the community members were done to death and their houses and business establishments set ablaze.
Rains said the members of the community are in great distress as they are leading an exiled life for last 26 years in Jammu and other parts of the country.
He said when the Government has no proper policy of the rehabilitation of the community and when the ground situation is not conducive for the return of migrants to the Valley whose houses have either been set ablaze of damaged how can these hapless female teachers join their duties in Valley.
Raina who was very critical of Education Department said transferring the female teachers to Valley was nothing except to harass and humiliate the community and force the remaining employees to quit the jobs. He said situation is so worst in Valley that ISIS and Pakistani flags are being openly waived off by the anti national elements there and under such circumstances the female teachers of the community can be any time the target of attack by such anti national and anti social elements who have no respect for human values and co-existence.
Raina demanded immediate revocation of the order and posting of these female teachers in camp schools at Jammu as such a transfer will also disturb their families totally.
