JAMMU, May 20: Maintaining that Mela Khir Bhawani at TullaMulla and the other shrines symbolizes interfaith interaction and have been fine examples of religious tolerance since ages, Advocate Ravinder Raina, president ASKPC, lamented that because of Covid-19 Pandemic and resultant lockdown with restriction of movement & assembly, the traditional community celebrations can’t be held at these temples on the occasion of Mela Khir Bhawani.
In view of this scenario, he appealed Lt Governor J&K UT, G C Murmu that in order to carry out the symbolic prayers at Mata Khir Bhawani Tullamulla, Manzgam, Tikar, Devsar & Logripura, a group of some community members from Jammu, for each of the Asthapans, be allowed to proceed by providing the necessary permission, transport facilities & related arrangements.
