JAMMU, Dec 6: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of H L Chatta discussed various problems of the displaced Pandits from Kashmir Valley.
The meeting expressed concern over the encroaching of the left over property of displaced Pandits in Valley and changing the names of villages, which is being done under a game plan.
The meeting criticized the Government for scarcity of drinking water in Jagti township and long duration power cuts which has made the life of people miserable there.
The meeting alleged that retired migrant employees are not getting ration under APL quota as was agreed by the Chief Minister in Apex Committee meeting.
The meeting in an appeal to Government urged it to take immediate steps in enhancing monthly relief as demanded by relief holders and sanction special package for over-aged youth.
The meeting also reiterated the demand for carving out of a separate place for the settlement of KPs in Valley with free flow of Indian Constitution.
The meeting among others was addressed by S K Bhat, B L Handoo, Subash Chatta, Veena Gurtoo, D N Kissu and Ashok Dhar.
