JAMMU, Dec 6: The land line connections in Gopinath Vihar, Udaywala Bohri are not working for a month now as under ground cable has developed a snag and the BSNL has failed to remove the same despite the repeated pleas of the consumers of the area.
Some locals who have only landline connections said that they have become held up due to the non- functioning of landline in the area. Besides the Internet service has also been hampered due to the snag putting the consumers to lot of trouble.
In an appeal to BSNL authorities the consumers have once again urged them to take immediate steps in restoring the line so that they are relieved of the problems. The consumers said that in case of emergency especially during night hours those families who have no mobile phones and are totally dependent on landline connections are put to lot of hardships.
