SRINAGAR, Sept 18: After her continued anti-national activities since early this year, Police today arrested chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Asiya Andrabi along with her close associate, for her anti-national activities.
Police arrested Asiya from her Soura residence in city here this morning. Police also detained Fehmeeda Sofi, who is close associate of DeM chairperson, and lodged both of them in Rambagh Women’s Police Station here.
Asiya has been arrested in connection with the waving of Pakistan flags in recent pasts and addressing the rally of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) telephonically. They said that two cases under FIR number 84 and 85 stand registered against her in police station Soura.
