Asian Games medallist calls on J&K Guv

 

JAMMU: Chain Singh, who won bronze medal in men’s 50 meter Rifle Shooting event at the recent 17th Asian Games, called on Governor N N Vohra today and shared his ideas about upgrading sports infrastructure in the State.

Singh, an officer of 13th Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry from Doda district, met Vohra at Raj Bhavan here and shared his experience of participating in the Asian Games.

He also shared his ideas about upgradation of sports infrastructure in the State, a Raj Bhawan spokesman said.

The Governor congratulated Singh for his achievement in the Asian Games and urged him to practice hard for securing a berth in the shooting team for the next Olympics.

Chairman of J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Nutan Resutra, also called on the Governor today.

Resutra apprised the Governor about his views regarding reforms in curricula and the examination system in school education. He also emphasised on the need to make BOSE’s functioning more effective. (AGENCIES)
