JAMMU, Sept 4: On National Nutrition Day, to make everyone understand the importance of nutrition to maintain a healthy lifestyle, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, near Chandigarh organized various activities. Sonia Gandhi, Head, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Fortis Hospital interacted with the faculty members and Aryans students of Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy, Law, Management, Education and Agriculture and spoke on ‘Good Nutrition: Need of the Hour’.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Gandhi while interacting said that food and nutrition are mandatory for overall physical and mental health.
“A nutritious diet is essential for a healthy mind and body and a balanced diet nourishes the body from top to toe, in and out,” she maintained.
It is pertinent to mention here that National Nutrition Week is observed in India from September 1 to 7 to create awareness about good nutrition and health.
On this occasion, declamation, poster making, healthy diet recipes and quiz contest was also organized in which Aryans nursing students participated enthusiastically.
