JAMMU, July 27: Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K organised a grand function today which was attended by all the members of the Sabha across the State.
On the occasion Varisht Muni, Dr Janki Nath Jigyasu was felicitated by president of the Sabha Rakesh Chauhan and its general secretary, Ravi Kant. The function was held on the eve of Dr Jigyasu completing century of his life.
On the occasion he was presented a memento and a shawl and a Samman patra.
In his address Dr Vidhyadhar Shastri of Sanskrit Department Jammu University dwelt at length on the teachings of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati founder of Arya Samaj.
Earlier T K Jigyasu a social activist gave in detail the life sketch of Dr Jigyasu who right from his childhood ahs worked for the cause of country and society. Miss Dhirti Kaul fourth generation of Dr Jigyasu also spoke how young should get inspiration from the life of Varshit Muni. Later Prasad was distributed.
