JAMMU, Sept 8: BJP candidate for Jammu West Assembly Constituency, Arvind Gupta here today flayed Congress and NC.
Addressing a series of meetings at Shiv Nagar, Bharat Nagar and in Ward 25, Gupta claimed that Congress and NC remained engaged in divisive politics.
He pointed out that BJP has always prioritized needs of the common people and is ready to address economic and social challenges the region faces.
“One of the key promises made in BJP manifesto is creation of five lakh jobs to address the high unemployment rate and to ensure that the youth of J&K have opportunities to build their future within the region,” the BJP leader maintained adding: “BJP’s pledge to provide tablets and laptops to students in remote areas is aimed at bridging the digital divide and enhance access to education, especially in regions that have been neglected by previous governments.”
He also talked about ‘Maa Samman Yojana’ under which the eldest woman in every family will receive Rs. 18,000 per year.
Gupta mentioned about BJP’s plan offering two free cylinders per year under Ujjwala scheme and travelling allowance of Rs. 3,000 per year for students pursuing higher education under Pragati Shiksha Yojana.
He asked the people of J&K to support BJP in upcoming Assembly elections and he also conducted a door-to-door campaign in Ward 24.
He was accompanied by senior BJP leaders Brijesh Gupta, Mandal president Keshav Chopra, former JMC Councillors—Neelam Nargotra and Sanjay Baru and Party workers Ganesh Singh, Arun Dubey, Praveen Ghai, Anuj Soni, Jai Paul Sharma, Yash Pal Shivgotra, Sonali Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Veenu Khanna, Rakesh Gupta, Amrik Singh, Vivek and Mohan.
