JAMMU, Sept 17: Art of Living Foundation Jammu chapter conducted Yes Plus (Youth Empowerment Skills Workshop) at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra for the first time in which more than 50 students from all Engineering streams of first to fourth year participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The five -day 18 hours committed sessions with interactive lectures on optimism and stress management were key features. The Speaker of initial sessions was Rohit Ranjan Senior International Faculty for Youth Programs from Art of Living International Centre Bangalore , and State coordinator of Youth Programs for Jammu and Kashmir. He motivated students that better living is the blessed one.
According to his success in life depends upon one’s attitude and enthusiasm. He also stressed upon importance of concentration in studies. In subsequent sessions Manjeet Singh Art of Living teacher from Punjab also interacted with the youth and informed them about soft skills and domain knowledge.
Both made them aware of the importance of these two skills in becoming a successful person. They also stressed that it is important to be happy before rather than being successful.
The other faculty members from Art of Living Foundation, Bangalore, discussed and gave students demos, conducted practice sessions on Breathing techniques and activities, helping them in improving their concentration and clarity of mind. The aim of the program is to make students to boost confidence, enhance creativity, regulate time management, and develop interpersonal relationships and leadership skill. The team of experts from Art of Living Foundation, Bangalore consisted of Rohit Ranjan, Manjeet Singh, Amarjyot and Shruti (Yes Plus Faculty) delivered Lectures to explore students’ academics interests and motivate them to work for excellence, promote bonding among themselves and build character to meet the future challenges of life.
