Art & dental camp held

JAMMU, Dec 11: Satchel, a centre for promotion of music, art and language in collaboration with Oracle 32 organised art and dental camp at Muthi.
In the first session, around 100 children mostly underprivileged took part in the art constest. Naqshab Agnihotri, Roma Bhat, Anil Sharma, Abhinandan Agnihotri, Mehak Kisroo and Harshita Kisroo were judged as the best child artists.
Dr Vibhuti Kaul’s dental check-up and treatment camp along with Sahil and Gagan and Dr Rudra Kaul’s lecture on oral health were the highlights of the first session. Oral health maintenance techniques were demonstrated to all and free colgate toothpastes and toothbrushes were distributed to all the participants.
In the second session, Deepika Sathoo and Sakshi Bali presented their papers on Indian cultural heritage and the importance of performing arts.
RK Mahaldar, Patron Satchel, spoke about the importance of the co-curricular activities in the schools and other educational institutions.
Some folk and classical dance items were also presented by some underprivileged children.
The proceedings of the camp were conducted by Sakshi Bali and Vandana Bhagat.
Among others present were Anupama Kaushal, Preeti Sharma, Satish Kaul and Sunandan Handoo.
In the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Vaishali Mangotra, A BSc nursing student from Bee Enn College of Nursing.
