Sir,
Recently some welfare schemes were advertised by Ceremonial and Welfare Directorate (Army) for veterans under which a Platinum grant of Rs 50,000/- was announced in favour of officers only on attaining the age of 75 yrs.
Isn’t it injustice to ignore the other Ranks (JCOs/ORs) of the Armed forces who have attained the age of 75 years and above and have not been covered under this scheme.
It may be mentioned here that their contribution and sacrifices for the nation are not less than the officers.
It is requested that Ministry of Defence must consider sympathetically our plea and grant reasonable relief to the other ranks as well. This will boost their morale.
