Lambardar dismissed for violating MCC

RAJOURI, May 14: Election authorities in district Rajouri today dismissed a village Lambardar for violating election Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

In a complaint filed before the District Election Officer Rajouri, Om Parkash Bhagat it was alleged that Village Lambardar- Joginder Singh, son of Chanchal Singh, resident of village Sagote, violated the Model Code of Conduct by joining a political party, in an open election rally at Dhangri, in 85-Rajouri Assembly segment. The issue also went viral in the social media.
The District Election authorities sought report from the Assistant Returning Officer, Rajouri and on the basis of this report, District Nodal Officer, MCC, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, dismissed/ disengaged the Lambardar of Sagote, Joginder Singh with immediate effect.
