Army provides sewing machines to needy women

JAMMU, June 21: In a goodwill gesture, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Romeo Force presented 20 Sewing machines to the needy women of Sangiot village, today.
The sewing machines were presented by Brigadier Pankaj Singh, Commander, Sector Headquarters, Rashtriya Rifles at a function attended by various civil and military dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohd Gulzar Khan, Sarpanch of the village, expressed gratitude towards the Army for providing sewing machines to underprivileged women, which he said would help them in acquiring skills making them active earning members of the society.
