POONCH, Jan 24: As a prelude and build up to the Republic Day celebrations, Sarla Battalion under the aegis of Krishna Ghati Brigade organized a Veterans’ and Veer Naris’ meet at Gulpur.
The meet was attended by the District Soldier Welfare Officer, Poonch, ex-Sub Maj (Hony Capt) Mohammad Sidiq, SC, Sarpanch of Gulpur, 40 veterans and six Veer Naris hailing from villages of Khari Kharmara, Ponidhara, Fakirdhara and Gulpur.
During the meet, the Veterans and Veer Nari’s were brought up to date with the latest initiatives under taken by the Government and Army for their welfare.
