UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: 25 Air Defence Regiment under the aegis of 611 (Independent) Air Defence Brigade (Northern Command) organized a Eye-cum-Medical camp under OP Sadbhavna here today at Primary Health Centre Khoon.
The aim of this Medical camp was to provide treatment to the poor and destitute villagers of the Balpur and its neighbouring villages where no sophisticated medical facilities exist.
A total of seven doctors including specialists in the field of Eye, Ortho, Cardiologist, Gynaecology, Dental and Pathology attended to a large number of patients and provided them free medical advice, treatment and medicine. Few cases requiring advanced treatment were referred to the Army Command Hospital.
Locals were also imparted awareness about health, hygiene and immunization schemes through a medical exhibition.
The camp was inaugurated by Brigadier JK Shukla, Commander 611 (Independent) Air Defence Brigade.
