Army organises medical camp at Thannamandi

RAJOURI, June 30: With the objective to provide health facilities at the door steps of the people, Army authorities organised a free medical camp at Thannamandi in district Rajouri today.
The camp was inaugurated by Sub Divisional Magistrate Thannamandi, Mohd Afzal Mirza, in presence of civil dignitaries, former Sarpanches, Numbardars and Civil Medical staff. Medical check ups where carried out by the Army and even some Civil doctors. Over 950 people were benefitted with this camp. Special medical issues of women were addressed. Lady Gynecologists helped out as many as 390 lady patients. Free of medicines were also provided to the poor and needy patients by Army under Sadbhavna.
Civil Medical authorities also adequately cooperated in successful conduct of the medical camp. Dental facilities were also provided to the patients during camp. The Army Medical unit team also created awareness among the gathering against various ailments and maintaining good health. The locals of the area lauded the efforts of Army Unit at Tannamandi.
