UDHAMPUR, Apr 26: An Army jawan was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle at Tendala while a youth died after he slipped into Gambir nullah at Majalta.
The deceased Army man was identified as Nk Amar Jung Gurung (36) No. 5047147W-1/1GR, son of Khadka Ram of Lumjung Nepal. He was hit by some vehicle at Tandla and some passersby shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
After postmortem, dead body of the deceased was handed over to the officials of GR Regiment. Police has registered the case in this connection.
In another mishap, one Mushtaq Ahmed (19) son of Nageer Ahmed of Sari Ramban, slipped into Gambir Nullah, Majalta. People took the injured to PHC Majalta where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Meanwhile, body of Darshan Kumar (32), son of Krishnu of Bai Chenani, who was washed away in flash floods in Bai nallah on April 19, was recovered today.
