SAMBA, May 27: An army jawan allegedly tried to end his life by shooting himself with his service weapon here today, a police official said.
The victim has been identified as Sepoy Goyal Devendra, posted with 136 Field Regiment at Samba.
He was rushed to nearby military hospital in Samba and later referred to military hospital Satwari for advanced treatment.
Samba police has taken cognizance in this regard.
