Army jawan killed after hit by shooting stone

RAMBAN, Dec 24: An Army jawan was killed after being hit by a shooting stone in Kanabati area of tehsil Rajgarh, here today.
As per police sources, an Army jawan identified as Parkash Chand Thakur of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh was on patrolling duty at Kanabati area of tehsil Rajgarh, when a shooting stone hit him and he fell into gorge, resulting into serious injuries to him.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of army personnel and locals rescued the injured jawan and shifted him to nearby Army dispensary.
Later, he was referred to Army’s Field Hospital at Dharmote, Batote, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
Ramban police has taken cognizance in this regard.
