JAMMU, June 10: An Army jawan died under mysterious circumstances here today.
As per reports, an Army jawan identified as Kamal Thappa, son of Nana Ram of Shimla, posted with 5 Grenadiers stationed at Tangdar, was spotted unconscious at 213 Transit camp, falling under the jurisdiction of Trikuta Nagar police station.
He was shifted to Military Hospital (MH), Satwari where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The jawan was going home on leave and was camping in the Transit camp for his onward journey.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completion of legal formalities.
A case has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
