JAMMU, Oct 1: Army today flagged off 10 days motivational tour for elders and Maulvis belonging to remote areas of Kalakote, district Rajouri.
Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Kalakote who was the chief guest on the occasion flagged off the motivational tour.
The 10 days tour based on the theme “Tajurba Aur Vishwas Desh Apke Sath” consists of 25 elders and Maulvis of remote areas of Rajouri district and they would be visiting historical and tourist places in Allahabad, Kanpur, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri and Delhi.
The aim of the tour is to provide an opportunity to the village elders and Maulvis, to visit the other places in the country outside their own region, and to give them an exposure to the development taking place in various spheres in other part of the country and to meet and interact with their countrymen from other regions, establishing bonds of friendship with them.
Civil administration officials, sarpanchs, panchs of nearby villages and local populace were present during the flagging-off ceremony.
