SRINAGAR, Jan 8: Under Operation Sadbhavana, an integration tour was flagged off by Army in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An Army official said that event was organized to commemorate the celebration of Army Day-2015, adding that the tour contingent comprised of 20 participants from Bandipora district.
The tour is being organized by Army’s 27 Rashtriya Rifles (RR).
The touring contingent was taken to important historical sites in and around Srinagar like Shalimar Garden, Hazratbal Dargah, Nishat Garden, Chasmashahi and Dal Lake.
The official further said that the locals expressed their gratitude to the Army for its initiative and requested for organizing many such tours in future, the official said.
He added the tour aimed to provide exposure to the youths As also to elders to become good citizens.
