PULWAMA, Jan 17: In commemoration of the Army Day and Republic Day, the local RR Battalion Tral under the aegis of Chinar Corps and Victor Force organized a medical camp in village Sail.
The locals of the area were looking forward to avail the facilities of free medical checkup and distribution of free medicine in the area. A team of Army and civil medical specialist including Gynecologist from PhC Awantipora and SDH Tral attended the Medical camp with an aim to provide quality medical diagnoses and treatment for the poor and needy sections of society from the villages in Awantipora area. Many patients were also refereed to hospitals for further specialized treatment.
The people of all age groups and gender from the nearby villages of Sail, Gharikhal, Charsoo, Kadlabal, Larmu and Kandizal overwhelmingly subscribed to the camp and availed the quality medical facilities. Total of 1000 patients including women and children were provided medical assistance for which the populace was highly grateful and requested for conduct of more such camps in the future.
