JAMMU, July 19: Army chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi is reaching here tomorrow to review security situation in the Jammu region.

This is Gen Dwivedi’s second visit to the region after taking over charge of the Army chief on June 30 and assumed significance as it comes amidst surge in terror activities including attacks on the security forces.
Gen Dwivedi will take review of the situation with top Army Commanders. Senior police officers are also expected to attend the meeting.
The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi met yesterday in New Delhi and discussed the steps required to crush the terrorism.
